Located in Fredericksburg, this volunteer-run organization is all about sharing its enthusiasm and knowledge for railroad operations, history, and maintenance.

While the museum building itself holds a ton of unique railroad history, the most popular attraction of all is the Little Yellow Train.

This small-but-mighty engine runs for 45 minutes, offering passengers a unique open-air train ride in Virginia.

The route is approximately one mile long.

It runs from the Deep Run station to the junction with the former RF&P Mainline.

And although the ride is short-and-sweet, you can look forward to some beautiful scenery along the way.

The ride is especially popular during the summer and fall seasons.
