John Calvin Coolidge served as President of the United States from 1923 - 1929. He was originally the Vice President and took over for President Harding when he unexpectedly passed away.

He served as governor of Massachusetts prior to being elected to the presidency. Unfortunately, many of his financial policies contributed to the turmoil of the Great Depression, and today he is considered something of a lackluster president.

Coolidge was famously nicknamed "Silent Cal" because he was a great public speaker, but man of few words in private.
