Scarcely more than a blip on the map, Hallettsville is home to just under 3,000 people. Situated on a remote highway between Austin and San Antonio, the charming little town boasts a slew of old buildings that haven't changed much at all since they were first built. 2. Granbury

Granbury has really made an effort to attract tourists, and it shows - there are dozens of quaint restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries to peruse as you stroll through the town square. 3. Waxahachie
With perhaps the stateliest courthouse in Texas, Waxahachie is every architecture buff's wildest dream.
