Summer is the time to get outdoors and be active, and there isn't a better city to do that than Sioux Falls. With more than 80 public parks, you'll never run out of places to explore. And the best part? Many of them are connected with an amazing bike trail that makes a loop through the city.

Here's a map that shows the bike path route. Click here for a printable map. You can also get an interactive map that will even work on your smart phone here.

The route starts at the crown jewel of the city - Falls Park.

Of course, you can hop on from whatever point you'd like. There are 15 points along the way.

Some sections take you through forests of trees...

...others take you past fields of green, grassy fields.

Along the way, you'll see wildflowers...

...wildlife...

...and plenty of river views.

The bike trail is 19.13 miles long for the complete loop. Tackle all of it in one epic ride, or complete smaller sections at a time. Either way, you're sure to enjoy your adventures.

Have you ridden on Sioux Falls' bike trail? What's your favorite section?

Head to the opposite side of the state for another great place to explore - the Wildlife Loop Scenic Byway.
