One of my favorite towns in South Carolina that fits the fairy tale theme is Landrum. Located in Spartanburg County, this tiny town has a population that hovers just under 3,000 residents. It's the perfect small town to spend a day or two exploring, and it's close enough that it can be a great day trip from Spartanburg or even Asheville.

So where exactly is Landrum? Well, Landrum is a small city just west of I-26 and north of Spartanburg. Without a doubt, it is a fairy tale town in South Carolina. When you pull into Landrum, you just get a warm and fuzzy feeling. It's one of those towns where everyone knows everyone.

Settled in 1880 and incorporated as a town just three years later, Landrum is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered. You certainly won't run out of enchanting things to do in this upstate town.
