Take The Whole Family On A Day Trip To This Pick-Your-Own Strawberry Farm In South Carolina

Celebrate spring by picking your own strawberries at Cottle Strawberry Farm, a family-friendly destination with over 50 years of berry-growing experience.

Spring is here, and that means ripe, juicy strawberries! We can't think of a better way to celebrate the season than picking your own berries, and this little family farm is just the place to go. Check out Cottle Strawberry Farm:

Cottle Strawberry Farm has been growing berries for over 50 years. Ms. Joy Cottle and her family will make you feel right at home on their farm. You'll find it at 2533 Trotter Rd. Hopkins, SC 29061.

The strawberries are ripe and ready for the picking! Normally, the strawberry season runs from mid-April through mid-June, but according to the farm's website, they're open for the 2019 season right now.

Grab a bucket and fill it up. This little farm is open to the public, and it's the perfect place to spend a sunny spring day. Picking strawberries is pretty easy (and tasty!) work, so even the littlest members of the family are welcome to join in.

They don't mind if you sample a berry or two while you're picking, so take a bite.

Just imagine all the ways you'll enjoy your sweet, juicy berries. Make some jam, slice 'em up for some strawberry shortcake, or just eat them all by themselves.

You don't need a reservation to bring your family to the farm to pick your own strawberries, but you might want to call ahead, just to be sure that there are plenty of ripe berries in the field. Call 803-695-1714 before you head out.

Don't feel like picking your own? No worries - the farm has plenty of berries by the quart or gallon that you can take home right away.

The farm is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..
