Just about an hour and a half from downtown Pittsburgh, Connellsville boasts a rich history and plenty to see and do during your two or three-day weekend visit.
The quaint town, with a population of just under 7,500, dates back to 1793 and even earned distinction as the "coke center of the world" during the early 1900s. Connellsville is named after Zachariah Connell, who founded Connellsville as a township in 1806.
