As the weather begins to turn cooler, it's a great time to plan some trips to check out some of the state's coolest under-the-radar spots. The leaves are turning, the days are shortening, and it's time to plan some day trip adventures! Here are eight hidden gems you need to to visit in Oregon this fall:
1. Visit the most charming covered bridge in the PNW.
Did you know the most charming bridge in the PNW was in Oregon? But of course! Located in Yachats, Oregon, you'll find the eponymous Covered Bridge along a scenic little backroad. The drive leading up to the bridge is beautiful. It winds through a hidden forest that feels like something from a fairy tale. In autumn when the leaves begin to change, it's absolute perfection!
2. Take a tour of the Willamette Valley's wine country
Wine and hot, hot heat doesn't always go well together, so fall may be just the right time of year to enjoy a nice glass of red or white.
3. Speaking of vineyards, plan a visit to Soter Vineyards for a Top Chef level meal.
Located in the winsome Willamette Valley, Soter Vineyards is a picturesque place that seems almost too beautiful to be real. The kitchen is led by Chef Sara, who you may recognize from her appearance on Top Chef Portland. Chef Sara and her team create some of the most innovative and delicious food in the PNW.

In Oregon, we visit the beach all year-round. In the fall, if we have an Indian Summer on our hands, the beach is a downright refreshing option.
