For visitors who want to extend their road trip for a couple of days or longer, Hocking Hills State Park has a campground that can accommodate vehicles up to 50 feet long. The campground includes 156 electric sites, as well as a laundry facility. Registered campers can use the swimming pool, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, or playgrounds. Prefer to rough it? Hocking Hills also has tent-only camps, which are available by reservation, and 30 walk-in family sites.

The park is open from dawn to dusk all year round and holds special events throughout the year. The Hocking Halloween Campout allows visitors to go for a hayride, enjoy trick or treating, and decorate their own pumpkins. Christmas in Ash Cave is a holiday celebration complete with caroling, Christmas tree trimming, and a visit from Santa.

No matter what time of year you go, stop for a bite to eat at nearby Hocking Hills Diner. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the modestly priced eatery serves up homemade favorites like macaroni salad, mashed potatoes and French onion soup.
