It may feel like the year of 2020 has only just started a few moments ago, but here we are again getting ready to say farewell to the month of February as the year continues to fly by us. While many of us may be excited to kick the winter season to the curb, there's one final celebration that you'll want to savor every inch of before we welcome in the spring weather. Giving you a taste of all that Western New York has to offer, it's time to discover how this small-town train ride will lead you to one of the most delicious maple shanties and sugar shacks in the area. Take a look!
Our favorite train station to visit outside of Buffalo, only 40 miles from us is the Arcade & Attica Railroad in the small town of Arcade.
More than worth the scenic drive it takes to get out here, all throughout the year, the railroad features a variety of themed train rides that will take you through Western New York.
While most of our railroads here in New York State won't start operating again until things get much warmer, on March 21, 22, 28, and 29 this year you'll find Arcade & Attica's Maple Weekend Train Rides up and running for all to enjoy.
Happening whether there's rain, snow, or sunshine, the Maple Weekend Train Rides offer one of the most unique ways to enjoy the month of March and our state's Maple Weekends.
Hop aboard the Maple Weekend Train Ride in the morning and you'll get to take a rare trip up to North Java to tour and see where all sorts of maple products are made inside of Kibler's Sugar Shanty. Woah!
With all proceeds benefitting the Charlotte House of North Java, on your way back to the train station, you'll make a stop at the Curriers Station for something sweet.
Making your Maple Weekend Train Ride all the more magical, passengers of the train will stop at the Curriers Station for a bite to eat before the train ride's over.
Brought to you by Catered Creations of Arcade, New York, passengers will get to sit back and relax as they feast away on a tasty pancake breakfast before their ultimate maple train outing is complete.
