Let's take a look at one of our favorite day trips from Albuquerque.

Jemez Springs is actually a village, with a population of just a few hundred. Located just 60 miles from Albuquerque, it's the perfect distance anytime you want to pop over.

From Albuquerque, you'll take Interstate 25 north until you hit Bernalillo, where you'll branch off to the 550. From there, it's a straight shot north.

One of the best parts of Jemez Springs is the natural hot springs in the area. There's nothing like taking a short hike to a waterfall to take a dip in these natural hot springs, but, if you would rather experience a commercial hot spring, you can find plenty of those in Jemez Springs as well.

While Jemez Springs is perfect for a day trip, if possible, going for a dip in the hot springs under the stars is truly incredible.

You can also find plenty of history in Jemez Springs. Today, you can explore the ruins of the stone mission built by Spanish Missionaries around 1541!

You can spend the day exploring the mission, as you get to walk back through time.
