New Jersey has some amazing scenic drives packed into its small size, especially when you head toward the shore. Many of them, like the world-famous Ocean Drive, take you to some of the state's most popular spots. It's a great drive - and especially during the summer, that may mean a lot of other people are taking that drive too! If you're looking for a road trip adventure that won't have the crowds and will allow you to discover some of the Garden State's best-hidden gems, consider taking the Bayshore Heritage Byway in southern New Jersey. Covering a little over 79 miles and just two hours of driving time, this road trip is the perfect recipe for a packed day of adventure, including good food, amazing views, and a finish at one of the most iconic sights in all of New Jersey.
This road trip can be done in one day full of adventure, especially if you get an early start - because there is a lot of fun ahead.
