Harrisville, New Hampshire, is a picturesque 19th-century mill town known for its historic buildings and natural beauty.

If you're looking for a great day trip in New Hampshire, check out the little town of Harrisville. It's got a population of under 1,000 people, but it's the quintessential adorable New England town that we all know and love. The remarkable thing about Harrisville is how beautiful it is. It's a 19th-century mill town that still has many of its old buildings, but it also has gorgeous natural surroundings. There are some great trails and lakes. It's such a peaceful, quiet place that's great for when you need to get away from it all for some tranquility.

We feel like Harrisville is one of those small towns in New Hampshire that doesn't get enough love. It's the perfect combination of natural wonders and man made beauty.

Fans of historic cemeteries won't want to miss the Island Cemetery. Graves date all the way back to 1840.

Though it is only about 20 square miles in area, the town has several bodies of water. Silver Lake, Chesham Pond, Harrisville Pond, and Skatutakee Lake are all within its borders.

There are several lovely trails throughout the town. It's a great place to head out for a peaceful walk in nature.

One popular spot in town is the Harrisville General Store. Established way back in 1838, it's a delicious breakfast and lunch spot that has tons of homemade fresh food.

The town's got an old church and a historic saw and grist mill located right on the water. Cheshire Mill No. 1 was one of the last remaining textile mills operating in New England when it closed down in 1970.

This is one of our favorite day trips in New Hampshire. With its minuscule size, it is easy to overlook, but it's such a lovely little town with so much history.
