Start your day by learning about this small town in Nevada. Situated in the heart of Fallon is the Churchill County Museum, a community-led endeavor fueled with the hope of preserving the histories of the town and its larger county. Since opening on July 4, 1968, the museum has expanded in size and exhibits. Locally donated cars, photographs, memorabilia, and much more help visitors gain a greater understanding of life during the area's earliest days.

“This is one hidden cave!” Those were the memorable words spoken by Mark Harrington, the man who first discovered the Hidden Cave at Grimes Point Archaeological Site. The cave is a popular spot for history lovers and those interested in the past. Though no one is thought to have lived in the cave, it served as a kind of storage room for what would become treasured Archaic artifacts today. The cave has been excavated many times, and discoveries include burial sites, latrines, and even petroglyphs. Hike or take a guided tour to experience this prehistoric location for yourself.

Hidden Cave is less than a fifteen-minute drive from downtown Fallon off of Lincoln Highway.
