You’ll Love This Amazing Tram Ride That Takes You High Above Nebraska
The AirCare Sky Tram at the Nebraska State Fair offers a unique aerial view of the fairgrounds, making it a memorable experience.
Is there any better way to see the sights around you than from high above them? The AirCare Sky Tram only operates once a year during the Nebraska State Fair, but the experience is one that you'll remember all year.
The Sky Tram's first year giving sky-high rides was 2012, when the fair's theme was "High Flying Fun." The ride was constructed at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds in Grand Island just two years after the fair moved there from Lincoln.
The tram stretches from the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center to the Cattle Barn - a distance of more than four football fields! You'll ride right over the midway so you can see all of the action from a unique vantage point.
The tram gondolas are 40 feet in the air, making this a different kind of thrill ride. You won't zoom through the air at breakneck speeds, but you will be treated to a view that's unlike anything else in Nebraska.
There's a small additional fee to ride the AirCare Sky Tram, but this is not one of those rides that you'll forget as soon as it's over. It's one of the most thrilling parts of the whole midway!
The 2017 Nebraska State Fair will take place August 25 - September 4. Get information on admission prices here. You'll find the fairgrounds on Fonner Park Road in Grand Island.
