Check out the updated dates for 2018 below!

The only life-size garden railroad in the state is open all summer for rides...

...but come late October, the railroad runs for a few special days to delight little ghouls and goblins.

The Stolley Park Railroad's Haunted Halloween Express offers a gently spooky experience for people of all ages.

You'll find costumed characters all over the park for the event, but not the type that would scare parents or make little ones cry.

The decorations are Halloween-appropriate without being gruesome or startling.

The ride itself takes riders all through Stolley park where they'll see tons of decorations along with volunteers in costumes.

The train gets all dressed up for Halloween with colored lights and a few spooky decorations.

Kids and parents are strongly encouraged to come in costume - because who doesn't love a bunch of adorable kids in costume? - but it's not required to ride.

In addition to the ride, there will be story time, face painting, games, concessions, and a place to have your photos taken.

Dates for this year's Haunted Halloween Express are October 12th-14th. The train will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m..

Ticket prices are just $3 for ages 4 and up, $1 for ages 3 and 4, and free for kids 2 and under. You can buy tickets at the Stolley Train Depot - bring cash, because they don't accept cards. Check out their Facebook page for more information.
