The Epic Summer Slide In Nebraska You Absolutely Need To Ride
Slide the City, a 1000-foot traveling water slide, will visit Norfolk on July 1st, offering a fun way to cool off with live music, food vendors, and other activities.
Hot, humid Nebraska summers require pulling out all the stops to keep cool. While that usually involves some combination of air conditioning, swimming pools, and an abbreviated wardrobe, this awesome traveling water slide is going to keep one city ultra-cool for one epic day this summer.
Slide the city is a traveling water slide that has events all throughout the country in the summer. This year, it will make a stop in Norfolk on July 1st.

This grown-up version of a Slip 'n Slide is 1000 feet of slippery vinyl - that's about the length of 22 school buses! It's the longest slide of its kind in the world.

Participants are handed an inner tube to make their slippery trip down this epic slide.

Then the high-speed adventure begins!

You'll hurtle down the lanes of water-covered vinyl, being splashed the whole way.

Don't worry about spinning out of control and flying off of the route - there are inflatable bumpers to keep you safe.

Along with the slide, there will be live music, food vendors, and other fun activities. Bring a few friends and make a whole day of it!

You can expect to stand in line for a while before your turn at the slide comes up. It's a popular attraction and there are always tons of people at each event. But if you love water slides, it's worth the wait.
You can ride the giant slide in Norfolk on July 1st beginning at 10 am. Ticket prices are $25 for three trips down or $55 for unlimited rides all day. Go here to get answers to the most frequently asked questions about Slide the City events.
