In terms of natural beauty, there’s definitely no shortage in Mississippi. The Magnolia State is practically overflowing with places that provide the perfect opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and all the amazing scenery that comes along with it – and Iuka is definitely one of those places. Despite its tiny size, the town boasts a state park, two city parks, a lake with a waterfall, and so much more. Sure to impress, Iuka needs to be on your bucket list. Take a look:

Home to about 3,000 people, the small town of Iuka is located in Tishomingo County.

Because of its location in the extreme northeast, it’s often referred to as the "Gateway to Mississippi."

Iuka isn't located far from the renowned Tishomingo State Park.

The park, which has been rated the state's top outdoor attraction, is filled with trails that make exploring it a breeze.

And since it's located in the foothills of the Appalachians, it offers a landscape completely different than anywhere else in the state.

Aside from Tishomingo State Park, Iuka has plenty of picturesque beauty of its own to offer.

For starters, it's home to J.P. Coleman State Park.

The park sits atop a rocky bluff overlooking the Tennessee River.

It's also home to one of the best fishing spots in the state - Pickwick Lake.

One of the best aspects of Pickwick Lake is Cooper Falls.

The 50’ waterfall is among the tallest in the state and is a gorgeous sight to say the least.

There are several marinas located on Pickwick Lake, which make accessing the gem a bit easier.

Aside from Aqua Yacht Marina (pictured), there's also Eastport Marina, which features boat and cabin rentals and a waterfront restaurant.

Mineral Springs Park is also located in Iuka.

Far from your typical park, Mineral Springs Park is a significant site, teeming with beauty and history. Part of that history has to do with the six natural springs that were once believed to possess healing powers. As of today, three of those six springs are still flowing.

Aside from the springs, there's plenty more to see at the park, including one of the only covered bridges in the state.

The charming bridge spans the picturesque Spring Creek.

While in Iuka, you'll definitely want to spend some time in the delightful downtown.

In addition to a variety of shops and businesses, you'll find The Apron Museum.

The "world’s only apron museum" is filled with thousands of aprons, some of which date back centuries. There is no cost to tour the museum; however, donations are accepted.

The museum is located at 110 E. Eastport Street.

There are also several restaurants, including Cafe Memories.

The one-of-a-kind eatery features nostalgic decor and a menu filled with everything from burgers to seafood. Cafe Memories is located at 127 S. Fulton Street.
