The Pumpkin Patch Train Ride In Mississippi That’s Perfect For A Fall Day

With fall just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start planning some seasonal fun. And nothing says fall more than a visit to a pumpkin patch. This year, though, you can put a bit of a twist on the quintessential seasonal activity by visiting Country Pumpkins. Much more than your standard pumpkin patch, this one includes a barrel train ride along with plenty of other activities for the whole family. Take a look:

Just like many other of the state’s best attractions, Country Pumpkins is remotely located in a tiny town.

More specifically, it’s situated in Caledonia, just northeast of Columbus.

You’ll find it at 860 Spruill Rd., Caledonia, MS.

Each fall season (mid-September to early November), Country Pumpkins opens to the public for some seasonal fun.

Entry to the farm is FREE. And so is parking.

For no charge, visitors can peruse the pumpkin patch and have some fun on the playground.

The playground and pumpkin patch are open Monday – Saturday from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Hayrides and barrel train rides are also part of the fall fun. Available on weekends only, both rides require a ticket, which cost $2 per person.

Both types of rides are available on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The barrel train ride is suitable for all ages, and provides a convenient (and unique) way to explore the farm.

But if you prefer the more traditional route, the hayride is a great choice and just as fun.

The fall fun on the farm doesn’t end with the pumpkin patch and rides, though. While at Country Pumpkins, you can navigate your way through a corn maze, dine at the on-site grill, and more.
