Some day trips are to charming towns, some are for jaw-dropping hikes. Others are to art museums or beaches. However, one of our favorite day trips yo can take in Massachusetts isn't any of those. Instead it's a hybrid of things: a petting farm, an ice cream shop, an event space, a mini golf green, a bumper boat lagoon, an arcade... need we say more?
Kimball Farm has four locations, three of which are in Massachusetts: Westford, Carlisle, and Lancaster. Kimball Farm promises fun for all, and boy, do they deliver. There's a country store to peruse, multiple golfing options, a fun lagoon to paddle around in, and of course their homemade ice cream. It's impossible to try all their flavors, but we encourage you to try.
Kimball Farm is the kind of place you'd dream up when you were a kid, The good news is it's still incredibly fun as an adult.
There are two 18-hole mini golf courses. For natural golfers, there is also a driving range.
During the summer, take advantage of bumper boats in the lagoon. Yes, you will hit people and get wet. If it's not quite the right weather, you can try the bumper cars indoors.
The country store is filled to the brim with food items and homemade goods you'll want to buy.
Famished from touring the petting farm or dominating in the arcade? Scarf down some chicken tenders.
There are over 50 flavors of homemade ice cream available here. The dessert is legendary, so dig in.
And yes, even during the winter, Kimball Farm is worth a visit.
A day trip here will be fun for whoever you're with, and you literally can't run out of activities and options. Have fun!
