Fast Eddie's is a great example and we couldn't be more thankful that it's not only still around but continuing to excite locals and visitors every single day.

Fast Eddie's Drive-In is a bit hidden in Winthrop, but it's one of the best old time drive-ins in Maine.

While we love the food, we especially appreciate the dedication to the 50s theme that's on full display here.

From the staff to the inside decor, it's clear that Fast Eddie's believes that 50s are alive and well. And they are - here in Winthrop!

The menu has everything necessary to make a drive-in authentic.

And they've recently begun offering daily specials from Monday through Friday.

Their classic onion rings are fried perfectly.

And the burgers are fresh and juicy.

Sandwiches like a "Rachel" and a grilled cheese BLT make popping in every day a necessity.

In addition to the tried and true drive-in delicacies, you can connect to your Maine roots by ordering up two red hot dogs with onion rings.

Did we mention that they also have a huge ice cream menu?

And, you can't have a true drive-in experience without the cruise night.

Wednesday nights at Fast Eddie's is on Wednesday from 5 to 8pm and it's the best around!

Attracting truly unique cars that are cared for by owners who are excited to share their beauties with visitors, it's a fun experience even if you're not a car enthusiast.

The night comes with great live entertainment, too.

And people really get into the festivities. You might think you've hopped into a time machine to actually GO to the 50s!
