The Arboretum is located on the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington. You will love exploring the 100 acres of land.

It's a public garden, meaning admission is free! Donations are always appreciated, however, to help fund this winsome attraction.

What started as a joint effort between the University and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in 1991 quickly grew into something much larger.

In 2000, it was named the "Official State Botanical Garden" of Kentucky.

The Arboretum has three main features and attracts 200,000 visitors annually.

The "Walk Across Kentucky" showcases native plants that can be viewed in a scenic, two-mile loop. There are seven different landforms contributing to the plants on display.

To say the Horticultural Gardens include a few "areas of interest" is an understatement.

The Home Demonstration Garden, Perennial Teaching Garden, Fragrance Garden, and Flight 5191 Memorial Rose Garden are all found in this area!

The Kentucky Children’s Garden is perfect for the younger crowd. It's a wonderful way for families to interact with nature -- and each other!

The Arboretum State Botanical Garden is the perfect destination for a budget-friendly road trip in The Bluegrass State. You can make a whole day of exploring Kentucky’s beautiful scenery; we guarantee you'll be dazzled.
