From a memorial to one of the greatest musical duos of all time to some of the most tranquil sites Kentucky has to offer, Greenville is a true one-of-a-kind town. Welcome to Greenville! The county seat of Muhlenberg County, this charming town has a population of just under 5,000.
To get a feel for the region's musical history, be sure to stop by the Everly Brothers Monument Museum in nearby Graham.
If you have never heard of the Everly Brothers, do yourself a favor and pull them up on YouTube. They are one of the greatest musical acts to grace not only the Bluegrass State, but also the entire history of rock 'n roll.
The Bard Distillery may not be quite as old as some of its competitors, but their roots run deep and their bourbon is second to none.
They are known throughout Muhlenburg County and beyond for crafting some of the finest spirits you can find in the state. Their distiller was also build on the grounds of a 1920's schoolhouse so you are certain to have a tour unlike any other if you decide to pay a visit.
More history and even some local artwork can be found inside Thistle Cottage, a charming and historic home that promises to impress.
The 9/11 Memorial in town is a meaningful way to pay homage to those whose lives were lost.
Ready to spend some time outside? The Brizendine Brothers Nature Park is a lovely option, especially in the autumn.
It won't take long for you to realize that Greenville is a town that goes all out for the holidays, and Halloween is an especially festive time of year at the park!
When the weather is nice, be sure to get out and enjoy a stroll on the Muhlenberg County Rail Trail.
