1. The Upper Crust: Overland Park

Your first stop is The Upper Crust, a charming little pie shop that opened in 2005 by a pair of sisters who learned to bake from their mom. The Upper Crust is carry-out only, and it's the best pie in Kansas City.

Delicious Pies are available in 9-inch and 5-inch sizes, or you can enjoy it by the slice of which the flavors change daily. A 48-hour notice is required to order the homemade pies.

Go during one of the Third Friday Pie Flights each month which is a great way to try different flavors, such as peach raspberry, chocolate buttermilk, and cinnamon cream. Check out the bakery's The Upper Crust website for more information.

2. Bradley's Corner Cafe: Topeka

Bradley's Corner Cafe is a delightful little corner eatery in Topeka that serves breakfast, lunch, and, of course, pie.

You can get a variety of flavors of pie here and it's served by the slice or by the whole pie which requires a 24-hour notice. We've heard the cherry pie is particularly delicious here.

3. Radina's Bakehouse: Manhattan

Your next stop is Radina's Bakehouse, an artisanal bakery with five locations. The artisans, some of which have been classically trained, use traditional methods and produce the baked goods in small quantities to ensure freshness. You'll find all kinds of goodies here, from freshly-roasted coffee to baked breads and, of course, pie.

Pies aren't always on the menu, as there's a rotating selection. You can typically find them around holidays and they are absolutely superb! Check out Radina's Bakehouse website for more information.

4. Village Inn: Hutchinson

You'll find a few Village Inns all over the country, especially in the Midwest, but there's a reason that this place is so well-known for its pies... they're amazing!

All-day breakfast followed up by pie? Sounds like heaven! Check out the Village Inn website for pie flavors and a menu.
