If your Kansas bucket list is anything like mine, it feels like it's never going to end. However, there's plenty of areas that you should visit a second (or third) time before crossing off your list. They're something special, especially if you like adventure. For those Kansans looking for more to do every day, check out these underrated places to revisit next time you have time to spare.
1. Deep Creek Falls — SE of Manhattan
These beautiful falls near Manhattan are popular during warmer months, but you should still visit them after a rain.
2. Rock City — Minneapolis
Rock City is more than just an area full of rocks, it's also a great place to discover how diverse Kansas' landscape is and how funny geology can be sometimes.
3. Kansas Cosmosphere — Hutchinson
The Cosmosphere is a great place to learn about the sky above with virtual tours, as well as see if rocket science is really that hard after all. Visitors of all ages will enjoy this virtual tour through space.
4. The Wizard of Oz Museum — Wamego
Even those who don't love the movie can enjoy learning about the theatre production and novel series that also brought the world of Oz to life.
5. Cowley County Waterfall — Dexter
Who doesn't love a good waterfall? Though this one is man-made, we don't love it any less. Plus, the colorful rock around it gives it the perfect backdrop for any season.
6. Konza Prairie — Manhattan
The Konza Prairie is an area that's absolutely gorgeous any time of year or time of day. Just remember to leave nothing behind while you visit.
7. Santa Fe Trail Ruts — Dodge City
The marks left behind from years of wagon travel are pretty visible near Dodge City even today. Looking out over the terrain, you can see just where settlers and travelers left marks forever.
8. Maxwell Wildlife Refuge — Canton
Visit a herd of bison that wander the area observed yet free. It's a small piece of how Kansas must have looked to Native Americans before settlers arrived.

The entire city of Lucas is a little odd, but we wouldn't want them either way. The whole city is worth one, five, or fifty visits if you love them as much as we do.
