This Enchanting Town In Kansas Is Unlike Any Other In The World

Milford, Kansas, is a small lakeside town known for its stunning sunsets and recreational activities.

One of the most enchanting spots unlike any other in Kansas isn't that far from most of us. It's filled with a mix of relaxation, recreation, and amazing scenery everywhere you look. This little lakeside town is a popular summer destination, but why not visit in the other seasons? I promise it's just as beautiful, you just have to look.

Milford is a small town located right next to Milford Lake, and it's known for the best sunsets. Ever.

It was founded in 1868, as you can see, but there's not much about the town that most people know. The population is around 500 people, which means this tiny town is a close-knit community that sees a lot of travelers. Their restaurants have to be good, though!

You can enjoy the tasty food served at The Cove as you watch the sunset.

Grab a burger here or one of their specials for the best day ever. They're open 11am - 9pm Tursday through Sunday. Don't fret though, there's a couple other options in town if this one doesn't suit your fancy, like the Hideaway or Milford Tropics.

Speaking of sunsets, however...

The town is known for some of the most beautiful views in Kansas, so don't worry about staying too late- that's the point!

...Milford Lake is the star of the show.

Reflective water, sailing, and those beautiful sunsets we mentioned look the best over the water.

You can even camp out at the cabins at Acorns Resort.

The cabins are super cozy and worth the rent. They really offer you the easiest access to the lake, and make your stay that much better. Even when it's cold, you can bet the skies are always beautiful at sunrise and sunset.

Just imagine watching the sunset and snuggling up in a cabin on the lake.

Why not take a drive down for a weekend? Here's a handy map to help you out with their location, or find them about 15-20 minutes north of Junction City along US-77.

After you're done checking out this town, consider another small town that's one of the happiest places in America.
