This spacious lodge is set on 40 private acres, and with 3,600 square feet of space, there's plenty of room to spread out. The beautiful property has miles of trails to enjoy, and there are large covered porches so you can spend time outside even if it's raining.

The five bedrooms contain 11 beds and can sleep up to 15 guests: sounds perfect for a big group!

The lodge was built just a few years ago, so it's got all the modern amenities you'd expect of new construction. With Wi-Fi, a full kitchen, a game room, and a living room, you've got everything you need for a perfect stay.

This is a rural area, but it's within a half-hour's drive of several great attractions. The Independence Historical Museum & Art Center provides a fascinating look at local history, as well as displaying work from local artists.

The lodge also isn't too far from the Riverside Park and Ralph Mitchell Zoo, a wonderful park in Independence, KS filled with all sorts of delights.

With a playground, carousel, and even a zoo, it's quite amazing that this place has no admission cost.
