The Pumpkin Patch Train Ride In Iowa That’s Perfect For A Fall Day

Welcome aboard the Pumpkin Express Train! This very special train ride takes guests to the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad's special pumpkin patch, where kids can pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home. Ticket holders are welcome to come to this amazing train ride in Halloween costumes.

You'll travel on a one hour and thirty minute round trip, and you'll get to go over the 156-foot-tall Bass Point Creek High Bridge as well as the Des Moines River Bridge to the pumpkin patch.

This train ride only happens on Saturdays in October.

Tickets are $18 per person for ages 2 and older. Every guest who wants to ride the train and is over the age of two years must have a ticket.

Spots fill up fast each year, so if you want to go you need to purchase a ticket in advance.

This train ride happens no matter what Iowa's amazing weather is up to. The cars aren't heated or air conditioned, so be sure to dress for the weather.

Guests are not permitted to bring strollers or pets on the train.
