Fox Lake, known as the "Heart of the Chain O'Lakes," is a small waterfront village in Northern Illinois with about 11,000 residents. Due to its fantastic location in the Chain O'Lakes region, life in Fox Lake is centered around the area's 15 lakes and 45 miles of rivers — features unseen in most other parts of the state.

Located just an hour north of Chicago (and accessible by Metra train) or about an hour south of Milwaukee, Fox Lake is the perfect place for a fun-packed getaway. Another favorite summertime activity is the town's farmers' market, open every Tuesday from June through September from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 17 E School Ct. Here, you'll find a variety of fresh fruit, veggies, baked goods, and handmade gifts from local farms and vendors.
