Located in a really tiny town of less than 1,000 people, Serena Cafe is a little breakfast and lunch spot that's situated in LaSalle County just off the Rock River, southwest of Chicagoland.

This fabulous small-town restaurant has been serving food since 1938, but the building has a longer history. It was built in the late 1800s and was used as a tavern until the county became dry.

Guests enjoy classic American fare at this down home eatery. Menu items include tasty burgers, sandwiches, soups, and sides like fries and onion rings.

Serena Cafe also serves breakfast. Locals enjoy classics like fluffy eggs, pancakes, sausage, toast, hash browns, and more.
