And without further ado...
Enjoy this beautiful state park with a natural lazy river in Florida. The spring-fed river keeps water cool and clear all year round, but June is probably one of the warmer months. Tube a 3.5-mile river flow through forested landscapes. Plus, there are areas to swim and snorkel, too!
2. Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana
Opens officially for business on Monday, June 5th, 2023. This pizza spot is famous in Connecticut and is finally opening up in Delray Beach. The New Haven-style pizza is a fan-favorite, and it’s been open up north since 1925. Come enjoy a delicious slice to kick off summer.
3. Her Turn Surf Fest at Flagler Beach
Come hang ten on June 3rd, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This is Flagler Beach’s first-ever women’s surf festival. If you’re a surfer, you can enter the festival, but also if you’re a fan you can sit and watch all the fun.
4. Panhandle Watermelon Festival - Chipley
When? Where? June 23rd-24th, 2023 in Chipley, Florida. This is a completely free music festival and celebrates all things watermelon. Sounds like the perfect summer experience for the whole family. What can be better than vendors, food, watermelon, and live music!?
America's largest weekend open-air food market is officially open every Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m.-7 p.m. at 2600 NW 2nd Avenue, right across from the Wynwood Walls. I’ve been before and let me tell you this is the best assortment of varied cuisines and culinary favorites across the state.
Just 16 miles from downtown Orlando, come spend the day with the whole family under the summer sun. Swim, paddle, and even see manatees! Manatees migrate with rising water levels during the spring, summer, and fall.
7. Westgate River Ranch Resort
We’ve written about Westgate River Ranch multiple times because there is just so much to do and see. This resort is a luxury, Old West, imagine being a cowgirl or cowboy, type of place. The accommodations here are out-of-this-world. You can sleep in a luxury covered wagon. There is a rodeo nearby, and activities like archery, horseback riding, rock climbing, and so much more.
8. Frost Science Museum - Mummies of the World
From Saturday, May 27, 2023, through Monday, September 4, 2023
features the mummified remains of 40 real humans and animals and 80 rare artifacts from across the globe. The exhibition provides a rare glimpse into the lives of ancient people from nearly every region of the world.
9. Carillon Hotel- Wellness Spa - Miami
Nothing says summer like a trip to the spa. Inside this hotel’s spa is a hydrotherapy circuit that mirrors European wellness traditions by using the restorative properties of water to promote well-being. Spend the day lounging in luxury right across from the ocean. It doesn’t get much better than this.
Summer events are happening all season long here. First and foremost, if you’ve never been to this 250-acre garden sanctuary, it’s a must. Created in the 1920s, there are hiking trails, birds, natural beauty, and so much more. During the summer, there are live events taking place, including the music from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
