1. Two Egg, FL

This unincorporated community in Jackson County, FL, is said to have gotten its name during the Great Depression when residents didn't have money but would often trade for "two eggs."

2. Niceville, FL

Niceville used to be named Boggy, and it's now the home of the annual Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival.

3. Couch, FL

I wonder if everyone here is always finding a lot of loose change.

4. Dogtown, FL

Even the mailman is a dog in Dogtown (just kidding).

5. Mayo, FL

This is a little town with just over 1,000 people in Lafayette County.

This city in Wakulla County started out as Lockchoppe, from the Muskogee words meaning acorn stem, but somehow became Sopchoppy, and never looked back. In 2004, the population was 465, and it's home to the annual Worm Grunting Festival.

Maybe a vacation in Panacea will cure what ails you? Try a dip in the Panacea Mineral Springs, long touted for its healing properties.

14. Yeehaw Junction, FL

Yeehaw Junction is a pretty great name, but its previous name was even funnier. Town historians will tell you, this census-designated place in Osceola County used to be named Jackass Junction or Jackass Crossing for the burro-riding ranchers who would visit the Desert Inn, which was then a brothel. It was renamed when the Florida Turnpike was built through the town, and yeehaw, the Seminole word for "wolf" was chosen.

15. Christmas, FL

Christmas may be a small town, but it's home to the world's largest gator, Swampy. This huge building is part of Jungle Adventures Nature Animal Park. Other attractions include Fort Christmas Historical Park and the Fort Christmas Folk School, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching folk art.
