If you're a nature lover, you're in luck: we've got a great nature lovers' road trip in Connecticut planned for you that's just perfect at any time of year. Check it out:

Road trips in Connecticut are pretty great. Thanks to our small size, you're able to explore much of the state in just a few hours! This trip will require a little over three hours of drive time, though of course, you'll want to plan for much more time to explore each destination. Kent Falls State Park: 462 Kent Cornwall Rd, Kent, CT 06757

Kent Falls State Park was recently named the most beautiful place in Connecticut, and it's easy to see why. The jewel of this park is its namesake, a towering cascade that is 70 feet high. But there's plenty more to see here: the trails are great for exploring, there's a scenic covered bridge, and more.

Talcott Mountain State Park: Summit Ridge Dr, Simsbury, CT 06070

Talcott Mountain State Park is another one of the best parks in Connecticut. This 574-acre preserve features a 165-foot high tower up on top of the mountain. The views from atop Heublein Tower are absolutely magnificent.

Elizabeth Park Conservancy: 1561 Asylum Ave, West Hartford, CT 06117

Your next stop on this road trip filled with natural beauty is the Elizabeth Park Conservancy. This place is particularly magical in the spring, when the wonderful rose garden is in bloom. However, there's plenty to see all year round. Take a minute to grab a bite to eat at the Pond House Cafe, and enjoy the scenic views.

Sleeping Giant State Park gets its name because the mountain resembles a sleeping giant. There's an observation tower here that will let you see for miles, and the hiking trails trails are some of the most popular in the state. There's a lot to see and do here!

Hammonasset Beach State Park: 1288 Boston Post Rd, Madison, CT 06443

We've got so many wonderful beaches in Connecticut that it was hard to pick just one, but Hammonasset seemed like a fitting choice. It features the longest shoreline in the state and even has a singing beach!

Bluff Point State Park: 55 Depot Rd, Groton, CT 06340

You'll end your journey at the lovely Bluff Point State Park. This 806-acre park has a wide variety of terrains. You can walk along the shore, through marshes, woods, and more. It's a delightful place to take a hike.
