These 14 Colorado Towns Might Be Tiny… But Their Restaurants Are Amazing

I have said it before and I'll say it again: The smaller the town, the better the food. Wouldn't you agree? To prove this statement, we have compiled a list of 14 small town Colorado restaurants recommended by you, our awesome and food savvy readers, including:

1. Hunger Buster (Westcliffe)

Get ready to have your hunger busted at this highly recommended Westcliffe favorite, which has been serving burgers, fries, and their famous deep fried burritos since 1992.

2. Frontier Diner (Cheraw)

Are you surprised that a town with a population of only 250 serves some of the best home-cooked meals in the state? If you are, you have obviously never been to the Frontier Diner.

3. Dutch Mill Cafe (Antonito)

The people have spoken and have given the Dutch Mill AT LEAST a 4-star rating on Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor and Yelp. (And are we surprised? Umm, no.)

4. Delgado's Dugout (Sterling)

You're going to really dig this dugout, which not only features tasty Italian fare, but concerts, comedians, and other special events as well.

5. Village Smithy (Carbondale)

Since 1975, Village Smithy has been serving incredible breakfast, lunch, and dinner options to the Carbondale community, making it an instant favorite.(Word to the wise: Save room for dessert.)

6. Three Barrel Brewing Co (Del Norte)

What's better than a homemade pizza with hand-tossed dough and fresh toppings? A homemade pizza with a hand-crafted beer brewed on site.

7. Jambalayas (Merino)

This Eastern Plains town just got a little jazzier, thanks to the Cajun and Creole entrees served at Jambalayas.

8. The Fritz (Salida)

It's time to put on the Fritz with some unique and delicious menu items like these mussels in white wine topped with french fries.

9. Georgia Boys BBQ Company (Frederick)

Who says you have to travel to Memphis, Texas or Kansas City to get a good slab of BBQ? The Georgia Boys BBQ Company in Frederick goes above and beyond to prove otherwise.

10. Pepper Pod (Hudson)

Remember; when you've reached the fork (and spoon and knife) in the road, you've reached these unbelievable homemade potato chips and onion straws with a chipotle dipping sauce. Yum!

11. Copper Kitchen (La Junta)

13. Nino's (Monte Vista)

For authentic Mexican food (and to-die-for margaritas) in a fun and festive atmosphere, there is no topping this delectable family tradition.

14. Casa Del Sol (Buena Vista)

What is this masterpiece, you ask? Oh, just homemade chili rellenos served Christmas style...no biggie!
