The Peach Capital Of Colorado Is One Of The Most Charming Small Towns You’ll Ever Visit

Palisade, Colorado, known as the Peach Capital, offers charming small-town vibes, fresh produce, and scenic views.

Palisade, one of the best small towns in Colorado, is locate on the Western Slope. Most people know of Palisade because of its fantastic peaches that are famous all over the state and around the country. In fact, it's considered the Peach Capital of Colorado! However, in addition to thousands of peach trees, Palisade is also home to about 2,500 people, and it's a pleasant town to visit and enjoy.

At first glance, it may appear that Palisade is in an area that is somewhat of a desert. You won't see the conifers and aspens of the mountains here, so you're partially right. However, the fertile ground here, plus irrigation, makes this part of the state perfect for farming.

The people who settled in this area realized this and dedicated their lives to farming fruit and vegetables. As a result, this area became well known as the Peach Capital of Colorado.

Of course, people flock to the Palisade Sunday Farmers Market! You'll be amazed at all the incredible foods and wares sold at it, and it's right in the middle of town.

After you stock up on Palisade peaches and other fresh produce, you'll probably be hungry and thirsty. There are lots of great food and beverage options in town, like 13 Brix Cider Bistro.
