This Charming Southern California Town Is Perfect For An Autumn Day Trip
Autumn is a wonderful time for a day trip, and we know just the place to recommend. The little town of Oak Glen, near San Bernadino, is gorgeous this time of year. The fall foliage is vibrant and rich with color, and the apples are ripe for the picking!
Oak Glen is a tiny town with a population of less than 700 people.
It's located about 15 miles from San Bernadino.
Oak Glen is well known for its apple orchards, so fall is a perfect time to visit.
Apple season is September, October and even into November.
Drive the country roads for some spectacular fall foliage.

Visit Snow-Line Apple Orchard and Winery - one of many orchards in this little town.
The orchard and winery is open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It's located at 39400 Oak Glen Road.

Visit the Oak Glen Preserve and Southern California Montane Botanic Garden.
Wander through this lovely preserve along the boardwalk to bask in nature's fall splendor, and see some beautiful plants and flowers. 39611 Oak Glen Road.
Visit Riley's Farm.
This historic farm has a Revolutionary War-era theme, with activities for kids and adults alike.
The farm is located at 12261 Oak Glen Road.
There is so much to do here that you'll want to plan on spending several hours.
Enjoy lunch at Hawk's Head Restaurant.
