The Ultimate And Definitive Bucket List For Everyone In San Francisco

Discover the best hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, known for their stunning scenic views and diverse landscapes.

San Francisco may be small in comparison to LA or New York, but we have a lot of incredible things to do. And, hopefully you'll get some time to cross all of the ultimate attractions and activities off of your bucket list. So, if you have less time to do all of these must-do things then get on it now. Take notes and start on this ultimate bucket list for everyone and anyone in San Francisco! Here is a list of 10 ultimate and definitive things and more to do in San Francisco.

1. Walk up Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower

Why? Coit Tower is historical, and the walk up goes through the charming and dynamic areas of North Beach and Telegraph Hill. Start at the Filbert Street stairs or the Greenwich Street stairs, and take either street to the base of Coit Tower. Take your time as this will be a steep and worthwhile trek. Once you're on top, enjoy the unforgettable views.

2. Drive down the crooked section of Lombard Street

This is fun and quite frankly touristy, but worth driving or even walking! Lombard Street is one of America's crookedest streets. The steep, hilly street was created with sharp curves for the convenience of beautiful Victorian mansions in the past.

3. Dine and drink at Top of the Mark: 999 California Street

Grab a drink or a bite to eat and soak in breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline, Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge from the historic Top of the Mark. Located on the 19th floor of the historic hotel, you will get a 360-degree panorama of Fog City.

4. Have a Mission Burrito

The Mission District taquerias perfected the burrito that is the staple of San Francisco’s burrito scene. So, try some of the best of what the 415 can offer from burrito faves like El Farolito on 2779 Mission Street or Taqueria Cancún on 2288 Mission Street. Yum!

5. Bike the Golden Gate Bridge

Ride on the most iconic bridge in the world! You'll enjoy San Francisco’s stunning waterfront, and if you make it across the bridge then check out the charming towns of Sausalito and Tiburon. If you're tired, return to San Francisco via ferry.

6. Visit Twin Peaks for an unforgettable sunset

Revel in the glory of one of San Francisco's most well known attractions at sunset. The sun setting on one side and the lights of the skyline twinkling below will make this sunset more than memorable.

7. Visit the highest point in San Francisco: Mount Davidson

At 938 feet high, Mount Davidson is the highest point in San Francisco. This is one of the least crowded and beautiful spots you'll find in Fog City as well. Take a leisurely hike to the summit, and get some incredible pictures or just relax and gaze at the beauty of the city. There are some local oddities on top including a giant dead tree and a 103-foot concrete cross.

8. Have a bonfire at Ocean Beach

Despite the high tech image of the Bay, it is possible to sit around a camp fire and have a blast especially at Ocean Beach. Just remember, all bonfires must be out by 9pm at Ocean Beach.

9. Visit San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) on 151 3rd St

MOMA is a new entry to a city full of world-class attractions. Explore the revamped space and collection of modern and contemporary art that includes pieces by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and other iconic creatives. Even if you don't like art, the architectural splendor is impressive.

10. Visit AT&T Park

AT&T Park is a beautiful stadium alone, but catch a game or show. See the World Champion Giants play, but more importantly, stuff yourself silly with gourmet hot dogs, garlic fries, beer, and wine. Enjoy the views of the Bay, and count yourself lucky to be in San Francisco.
