3. Spring Park

This family-oriented park is located downtown and is used for a variety of events, including the annual Helen Keller Festival. A few of Spring Park's main features include the train, the carousel, the roller coaster, and Cold Water Falls - the world's largest man-made natural stone waterfall that's known to be in existence. 8. Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve
The Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve is a great place to go hiking in North Alabama. This popular hiking spot consists of waterfalls, creeks, boulders, and rock shelters. Within the preserve, there are 15 miles of marked and maintained hiking trails that lead to scenic overlooks, beautiful wildflowers, creeks and so much more. What's great about visiting this preserve is that the landowners go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience. They keep the trails well-maintained. Also along the trails, they've provided rest areas with fresh water. Restrooms are also available. Access to the Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve is absolutely free. Belle Mont Mansion is a Jeffersonian-style plantation home that was built between the years 1828-1832. In 1982, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and today it's operated as a historic house museum.
