The Coffey Grounds, which covers 60+ acres, is a beautiful quarry that's located just outside of Decatur. Without a doubt, it's one of Alabama's most incredible hidden gems!

Known for its pristine, clear water, the Coffey Grounds is also one of the clearest quarries in Alabama.

You'll think you've been transported to the Caribbean or another beautiful tropical destination when you see this stunning clear blue water. It's unlike anything else in the state.

Guests can enjoy kayaking, swimming,, scuba diving, and hiking. This beautiful outdoor attraction offers several activities that are perfect for the entire family.

No matter what your interests are, everyone will have fun. The sunbather can get just as much out of the adventure as the action-packed activity lover.

The entrance fee is $10 per person and reservations need to be made in advance online. Certified scuba divers pay $20, and scuba classes are also available.

There's also a safety waiver that needs to be signed as a precaution.

The Coffey Grounds is also the perfect place to just sit and relax.

The space can be rented out for private parties like birthdays, family reunions, retreats, company parties, and more.

For those of you who wish to bring along your lunch, a few picnic tables are located onsite.

There are two grills for rent if you want to get your barbecue on. Personal grills are not permitted.
