Here's what to expect at this Christmas at the San Antonio Botanical Garden:
Spanning 38 acres, the San Antonio Botanical Garden is a lush oasis in the heart of the Alamo City.
With a variety of themed gardens featuring plants from across Texas and all over the world and family-friendly events year-round, there's something for everyone here.
But during the holiday season, the garden transforms! Every year, the San Antonio Botanical Garden hosts Lightscape, a critically acclaimed U.K.-based light show with dazzling displays at every turn.
Following a one-mile illuminated path that meanders through the garden, visitors will marvel at installations created by local and international artists.
Many of the displays here, such as a field of bluebonnets extending far as the eye can see, are unique to our state.
Have we mentioned this is a gorgeous date night idea?
Understandably, the botanical theme is clear! But you'll also find other fun displays too.
Certain elements, like this cathedral arch tunnel boasting over 100,000 twinkling lights - are Lightscape fan-favorites.
And you'll find glittering Christmas trees aplenty!
Still, other displays are more artistic and/or abstract.
Whatever your favorite light display here, you'll find oodles of festive sights, along with tasty food and drinks available.
Don't forget to bring a camera! There will be plenty of photo-worthy moments to capture and cherish for decades to come. Lightscape typically runs from mid-November through the new year.
