Katie Lawrence is a Southeast Texas native who graduated 18th in her high school class with a GPA of 4.25. She attended college in the Houston area and began writing for OnlyInYourState in 2015.
Today, Katie writes, edits, and performs several other tasks for OnlyInYourState and has never been more passionate about a job before. Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
I talk a lot about state parks in Texas (and for good reason!), but we have plenty of awesome city parks, too. One of my favorites is San Antonio’s Pearsall Park because it’s spacious and offers a little bit of everything, from a zipline to a Ninja-inspired obstacle course to a regular lineup of food trucks. It’s one of the best city parks in Texas, and I can’t wait for you to visit.
Visit the City of San Antonio website for more information about Pearsall Park, including current hours of operation.
Have you ever visited Pearsall Park? If so, do you think it’s one of the best city parks in Texas? We’d love to hear all about your experience in the comments, and if you need a place to stay in San Antonio, I highly recommend the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa because it has its very own water park!
