We all want to leave Earth sometimes, but there’s an otherworldly hiking trail in Texas that’s the next best thing. Devil’s Hall Trail in Guadalupe Mountains National Park features an extraterrestrial landscape with views so incredible, you’ll think you’re on another planet. It’s one of the most scenic hikes in Texas!
If you're in search of a hike that will show you a whole new side of Texas, Devil's Hall Trail in Guadalupe Mountains National Park certainly fits the bill.
Starting off nice and easy, the trail features a gradual, roughly 600-foot elevation gain. There is a fair amount of rock scrambling involved, but nothing too crazy!
The waterfall theory is further supported by a pristine pool of water at the base of the ledge. While it isn't fit for swimming, it sure is gorgeous to look at.
Fossils are strewn about all along the trail, providing evidence of the prehistoric creatures that once called this area home. See how many you can discover!

Embarking on the trail at either sunrise or sunset not only allows you to beat the heat, but also marvel at the most breathtaking skyscape you've ever seen. The entire landscape is bathed in a sea of amber, and the trees cast their silhouettes on the ground.
