The Candy Cane Lane Hiding In Texas That Will Fill Your Heart With Holiday Spirit

Neighbors can be a pain sometimes – it’s often difficult to get them to simply check our mail when we’re out of town, so this block is really something else. Known as “Candy Cane Lane,” the South Corpus Christi neighborhood puts up coordinating holiday decorations each season. The nickname is a bit misleading, however, because not every street has candy canes – some have lampposts, others candles, etc. But in our opinion, the more variety, the merrier! Check it out for yourself:

Each house might be decorated differently, but they all have one thing in common: giant candy canes lining the streets. They have to be at least ten feet tall!

At night, the neighborhood comes alive with light displays blinking and twinkling, and the canes themselves are illuminated from within.

Driving around the block might give you a headache or ringing in your ears, but in the best way possible. If you weren't in the Christmas spirit already, you'd have to have a smaller heart than the Grinch to not feel holiday joy afterwards.

The residents of Candy Cane Lane don't just stop at decorating - they even host a holiday parade complete with music, dancing, and refreshments.

Here's a closer look at where exactly the magic happens. The neighborhood is located on the south side of Corpus Christi near the country club.

If you live in or plan to be near the area this month, stop by and join in the holiday cheer. Oh, and don't forget your costume! You wouldn't want to stick out like a sore thumb amidst all the residents decked out in elf, reindeer, or Santa Claus attire.
