What are some small towns in Texas that offer peace and quiet?
Sometimes it is nice to truly get away from the hustle and bustle of life and escape to a sleepy and peaceful small town. Fortunately, in Texas there are some really great quiet small towns where the people are incredibly friendly and the living is slow-paced. A great small town you want on your list is Schulenburg. This historic German town is quaint, but home to great pecans at Potter Country Store and delicious pie from Frank’s. Another great small town is Jefferson. This historic town transports you to another time. Be sure to stop by the general store and book a night at the famous Excelsior House Hotel.
What are some picturesque small towns in Texas worth a visit?
If you just can’t get enough of charming small towns in Texas, don’t fret. There seem to be an endless number of small towns that are worthy of a visit and where you will absolutely want to bring your camera. In addition to the above towns, Hico is another picturesque small town that you should check out. The town’s motto is “where everybody is somebody,” and you can find some of the best pie at the town’s Koffee Kup Café. Luckenbach, Texas is a small town with a population of just 25. The general store made out of log cabins is incredibly photo worthy, so add it to your bucket list!
