In the early 40s, the land surrounding this eatery was surrounded by only dirt roads and cozy cabins. Marion Fowler opened a friendly little cafe in 1954, and the locals quickly flocked to it.
Ski Shores Cafe was synonymous with home-cooking, and it was the go-to spot for tasty eats for five decades. In 2009, this beloved cafe fell victim to progress, and it closed its doors for good.

Thankfully, Ski Shores didn't stay gone for too long. In 2010, Rick Engel revitalized this classic Austin establishment. Today, Ski Shores serves all of the classics you know and love in addition to a few new favorites.
