As the weather starts to get a bit nicer, Nashvillian’s have found themselves stretching their schedules towards the sun. Whether that means you’re waking walks outside in the early morning, jogging through Centennial Park on Saturday afternoons or simply taking in the sunlight from the window, we’re all getting excited for the warm weather to come. These seven restaurants have gorgeous views of Nashville’s varied skyline, and make for a perfect way to toast to the changing seasons.
This newly-opened bar has stunning views of the downtown skyline and Nashville's iconic Batman building. There's a bit of west coast flair served alongside your small plates and beers, so don't be fooled by the name. (120 3rd Avenue S)
Located on the rooftop of the Fairfield Inn in the Gulch, Up has one of the most incredible skyline views in Nashville. Thought you may feel a bit strange walking through a Fairfield Inn to get upstairs, the view and attentive staff, alongside an optimal menu makes for a fabulous evening.(901 Division Street)
L.A. Jackson is located on top of the highly regarded Thompson Hotel in Nashville's Gulch neighborhood. Marsh House, originally helmed by John Besh, takes up residence downstairs. You can enjoy a creative cocktail and a southern-inspired meal whilst atop the gorgeous new building. (401 11th Ave S)
Virago is a bit more low-key, although it does come with a fabulous reputation as an upscale sushi joint. You probably din't even know it has a rooftop, but it does, and with ample seating! It's a great space for a date alongside specialty sushi and an inventive cocktail. (1126 McGavock Street)
Ah, our lower Broadway spot. Most locals tend to shudder in horror at the idea of braving the crowds for a rooftop bar, but this one is 100% worth it. It's a solid tourist hangout, but that doesn't mean that locals don't enjoy a southern-centric menu and views of the Cumberland River. (101 Broadway)
The 404 Kitchen just moved into Watermark's old location in the Gulch, and now has an outdoor patio that offers up solid views of the upscale neighborhood. We'd recommend stopping in for a drink before your reservation,
then enjoy a meal among the city's twinkling lights. (507 12th Ave S)
Do rooftop eats in Nashville get any more classic than Tootsie's...? The historic honky tonk has quite the reputation, and is definitely worth a visit and a cold one in the heat of summer. (422 Broadway)
