Visit Brown’s Diner, The Small Town Eatery In Nashville That’s Been Around Since The 1920s

Brown's Diner in Nashville is a historic eatery known for its legendary cheeseburgers, dive bar atmosphere, and live music.

The Music City is known for many things. Among other talents, we're famous for our music (duh), our food, our beer, and our charm. All above the above combine in the fantastic Brown's Diner. If you're looking for a historic diner in Nashville, look no further: this one's been around for nearly a century!

Brown's Diner is an iconic eatery located in Hillsboro Village. The building was converted from an old mule-drawn trolley car. A dining room has since been added on, but not too much else.

It's small, and has a bit of a dive bar atmosphere that's comforting and distinctly Nashvillian. It's a must-see if you're in Nashville, and has had all kinds of famous patrons, including John Prine and Vince Gill.

The menu is simple, barely taking up one laminated page, but that just makes it easy to choose. Their cheeseburgers are legendary throughout Nashville, and they've won multiple Best Burger awards.

Many of the staff have worked here for decades, and it feels like you're with family when you dine at Brown's. You're stepping into old Nashville when you walk in the doors here!

It's definitely no frills, but what it lacks in class, Brown's Diner more than makes up for in charm.

The "stage" at Brown's Diner is a tight fit for most groups, but the live music here can't be beat! They don't have performers every night, but when they do, they really bring the house down.

You won't find any fine dining or cocktails here, just beer, good comfort food, and plenty of Nashville friendliness.
