One Of The Largest Music Festivals In The U.S. Takes Place Each Year In This Tiny Town Near Nashville
Tennessee is known for its epic music festivals and the reams of musicians that flood the streets of Nashville, but there’s one music festival every year that takes the cake. Located way outside of Music City, on a beautiful stretch of land, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival is a hot spot come the second week of June. If you haven’t been? You may want to buy some tickets.
Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival takes place every year in the gorgeous town of Manchester, Tennessee. Produced by Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment, it's been a Tennessee classic since it first arrived in 2002.
Similar to its sister festival on the west coast, Coachella, it's held on a large area of land that encourages camping and community. Bonnaroo itself is held on a total of 650-acres, in an area known as Great Stage Park.
Roughly 80,000 people attend every year, per the 2015 attendance records. With more than 150 performances on the docket, it makes sense why so many folks flock to the south!
This year, the lineup includes everyone from Post Malone to Cardi B, from Kacey Musgraves to the Avett Brothers. Whether you're a fan of Walk the Moon of the Lumineers, you're in luck. They're all here in 2019.
Make sure to check out the events going on all throughout the week, from the Blast Off Dance Party to Morning Meditations with Sarah Gaines. No matter your vibe of experience, there's something for everyone at Bonnaroo.
Wait, but what about food?! The Bonnaroo website boasts "the best food you'll eat all year", and their food vendors include 2Sisters, Alma Food Truck, Daddy's Dogs and Dave's Mini Donuts. We recommend a fresh pizza from Fresh + Jive Wood Fire Pies, if you have the chance.
These guys definitely capitalized on the pizza options! Yum!
The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival takes place from Thursday, June 13 to Sunday, June 16 this year at the Great Stage Park in Tennessee. Make sure to snag your tickets below!
