Enjoy Vino On The Lawn At This Stunning Winery Just Outside Of Nashville
When people think of Clarksville, they often think of the military base, but it would be a mistake to label such a vibrant and fun community by only one aspect. Clarksville is actually home to one of the summer events that has consistently been labeled as one of the best ways to spend a summer night in all of Middle Tennessee. And you can thank the folks at Beachaven Vineyards and Winery for putting on the fan-favorite that is Jazz On The Lawn. There’s food, drinks, and music — what more could you want? Did we mention it’s free?

Beachaven Vineyards in Clarksville is less than an hour from downtown Nashville, but its beautiful setting seems like it could be so much further.

The folks at Beachaven have been pursuing their passion for excellent wines for more than 30 years, and they've even won quite a few awards along the way.

The vineyard offers tastings and tours, all offered whenever you show up during normal business hours — pretty sweet deal, right?

But by far the most popular draw at the winery is the famous "Jazz On The Lawn" music series that takes place every other Saturday from April through October.

Jazz On The Lawn is free and is exactly what it sounds like — a jazz band plays music for the crowds as they enjoy picnics and wine (of course) on the winery's beautiful lawns.

The concerts run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., but the shows are general admission (and free), so they recommend that you get there as early as 5 to secure a good spot.

The tasting bar is even open until 7 p.m. on the nights of Jazz On The Lawn, so you can try out wines before the show starts. Be sure to bring a picnic and a blanket or chairs to sit on, but leave the pets at home (sorry, folks).

More information about the wines, tours, and events can be found on the Beachaven website. They're open for tours and tastings Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Visit them in Clarksville at 1100 Dunlop Ln.
Follow up the vino with a little Italian gelato, provided by this cozy little spot that serves up some of the best in the state.
