Go Glamping At These 5 Campgrounds In Washington With Yurts For An Unforgettable Adventure

Discover five top glamping yurt options in Washington, ranging from rustic to luxurious.

Glamping has become a popular alternative to traditional camping in recent years, and we can only assume that's because more and more people are realizing how awesome it actually is. Spending the day out enjoying nature, roasting marshmallows over an evening campfire, then curling up in a real bed inside a charming yurt? Sign us up! Plenty of Washington's best campgrounds and resorts have glamping yurts these days, which range from rustic and basic to all-out hotel-like oases. These five glamping options in Washington offer yurt camping at a variety of amenity and luxury levels, so you're sure to find the perfect spot for your next outdoor vacay.

1. Lakedale Resort, Friday Harbor

Lakedale Resort is a family-friendly, quiet property on San Juan Island. Their seven yurts sit tucked inside a quiet forest, surrounded by Fish Hook Lake. These yurts have it all: electricity, running water, a big cozy bed, a sleeper sofa, a kitchenette, indoor plumbing, and even private BBQs and hot tubs. You can reserve your yurt (or glamping tent or cabin!) on the Lakedale Resort website, but note that they fill up quickly.

2. Cape Disappointment State Park, Ilwaco

Your yurt experience at Cape Disappointment will be anything but disappointing. They all have bunk beds, a futon that converts into a bed, electricity, lamps, and heaters. These state park yurts sleep up to five, and offer easy access to everything this 1,882-acre park on the Long Beach Peninsula has to offer.

3. The Yurt Village at Kayak Point, Stanwood

Located in Snohomish County, Kayak Point Park is a popular spot for fishing, camping, and of course, kayaking. The yurts each sleep five people and come equipped with electricity, screened windows, hardwood floors, and private picnic tables and fire pits. You'll find this cute little glamping village above Port Susan near Warm Beach, which means views and waterfront for days.

4. Sagecliffe Resort & Spa, Quincy

Are you looking for a more elegant experience? Sagecliffe Resort and Spa has every amenity you could ever desire, and their unique desert yurts are fantastic. The yurts have many amenities, like cozy beds, mini fridges, dining areas, and full bathrooms with showers. But they don't have TVs or telephones, and that's no accident... the goal here is to disconnect.

5. Pacific Beach State Park

Glamping within walking distance of the beach sounds divine, doesn't it? These cozy Washington yurts at Pacific Beach State Park have bunk beds, a full-sized futon, electricity, and overhead lights. The heater will keep you warm on cool nights, and the bathrooms and coin-operated showers are nearby. You can make a reservation at parks.state.wa.us up to nine months in advance.
